Creative Coast Weekends
Creative Coast Weekends (formerly known as Art Night ) begin on the second Friday of each month during the busy season. They're now events that last throughout the weekend. Galleries and shops of Matlacha put on quite a show with local artists and entertainment available at most locations. You don't want to miss this! And don't forget to stop by Island Visions where many unique items are available.

December 9: Joan Roberts paints 5 - 8 PM. Watch her creations unfold right before your eyes. Also, Bill Fuery sets his cut gem stones from 6 - 8 PM. Choose your favorite exquisite piece to wear home.

December 11: Join JD Designs for another truck show featuring their wire & bead creations from 12-4 PM.
December 17: Holiday Open House from 12 - 6. Light refreshments served while you browse our extensive eclectic Local & Global selection of fine art and gifts ideal for Holiday giving. Have Steve make a custom piece for you or that special someone. And this is your last chance before Christmas to buy someone special a JD Designs' crochet wire & bead necklace set from Joanne & Debbie.

January 14, 2012: Lisa Holloway will demonstrate her mixed metal & colorful bead jewelry creations. Let her make you a one-of-a-kind, affordable, adorable set.
February 10: Wilson Hawthorne will be in the house signing books from his Last Pirate series. Hopefully he'll have his third book out and we'll have news of the movie!
February 11 & 12: Ed Brown is back for "Art in the Heart" 11-4. Meet Ed & watch him paint his colorful watercolors of local scenes.
February 24 & 25: Missed her in Dec? Beth Kauffman will again be here to help you create your Dichroic glass pendant from 11-4. This is always a popular event. Call 239-282-0452 to sign up early!
March 9: David from Miracles in Action (a non-profit) will offer for sale beaded delights from Guatemala from 1-8. We currently carry only some of the beautiful beadwork from Mayan workers of the Lake Atilan region. David will bring lots more goodies and tell of the good things Miracles does for these families.

Beth Collette with her remarkable Dichroic glass Bone Fish & Dragonfly pendants. When she sets up, she brings ALL her great pieces. Don't miss the opportunity to meet this popular artist from 1-5.
March 10: Sarah Kiser joins us and will work on one of her delightful mermaid paintings from 1-5. And Winnie Purple along with son, Daniel will be performing their Latin Jazz in the afternoon. You don't want to miss this special event!
